10 Tips for a Better Yard

landscape

If you’re selling your home, first impressions are everything.  Make someone fall in love with your home the minute they pull up to the front.

If you’re not selling, create a beautiful yard as your private retreat and a comfortable spot to come home to.

Here are a few very easy suggestions:

1. First, if you have any problem growth areas in your yard, you can send a soil sample to your county or state’s extension service, just google for your state resource, to have the pH levels tested.  This process can take up to 6 weeks so, if you don’t want to wait, check around.  I found a local garden nursery that will test my soil for free and I have my results in less than 10 minutes!

I’m Back!

Bungie

Well, hello there!  As you may have noticed (I certainly hope you noticed) I’ve been gone almost entirely in 2011.  I took a break and was trying to determine which direction I want to head personally and with this blog.

So, to help clear my mind.. I took a month long vacation to Australia and New Zealand.  OMG, I HIGHLY recommend New Zealand to anyone who loves to travel.  Sydney and Melbourne Australia could have been any big city as far as I’m concerned (I’m not much of a big city girl) but New Zealand is absolutely breathtaking from coast to coast.  An entire country of picturesque scenery and extreme sports, sheep farms and wineries.  If I ever have 2 months to travel, New Zealand is my choice.

But, I’m back and ready to hit my stride.  My husband and I have created a huge coaching program from the many people who came to us wanting to know how we did what we did in real estate investing so successfully and so quickly.  We truly love this business and love sharing with others how to make money in real estate.  As I’ve been saying for the past 6 1/2 years, there’s never been a better time to invest in real estate.

And, I want to write a book about what we’ve done and how we did it.  Seems that, with every new student, we spend a lot of time talking about how and why we started this venture and what we’ve done in 7 years.  Rather than repeat and repeat, I’m going to write it down and chronicle our story.  It is an exciting one to share.

So, I’ll also be doing much of the same outline here and my current focus will be much as it is with our students – coaching, training and leading investors through stumbling blocks and pitfalls and on to the next level of success.  If you have questions, difficulties or successes of your own, please feel free to share here.  I would love to write in response to your questions and I welcome any teaching articles you want to submit.  I’m always open to guest posts from my readers.

Please continue to read and follow me here and I beg you for your input – questions, comments, criticisms, teachings.

To our joint success!

Congratulations to My Sister!

Starting Over

A very big congratulations to my sister, Laura Rittenhouse, on the publication of her first novel, Starting Over.

“Two women, separated by three generations and an ocean, live remarkably similar lives as they leave behind all that is familiar and begin again in new lands.”

Check it out on Laura’s homepage.
