According to Zillow, there’s a very important house in the United States that has lost 5.1% of its value in the past year to only $291 million. You may recognize the photo.
This home is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C. and includes:
- 16 bedrooms
- 35 baths
- 55,000 square feet
- Lot size is 784,080 square feet
- It was built in 1792
So, if your property has lost value this year, you’re not alone.
And, rest assured, the President feels your pain.

What an interesting concept. We keep our politicians so removed from “real” life and wonder why they’re so out of touch…

That’s $5,291 per sq ft if my calculations are correct. At least he doesn’t have to worry about selling it when he moves out.
