Are you Collapsing with the Dow?

Are You Collapsing With The Dow?

Don’t. Take control. Make a plan and make it happen. Your options are unlimited and the one we’ve chosen is real estate investing. How about you? Is your future secure?

You may have heard that yesterday, August 4, 2011, was Wall Street’s worst day since 2008. The Dow, NASDAQ and S&P 500 have all three dropped 10% in the past 10 days.

Markets Overview

Overnight, Japan’s Nikkei, Australia’s ASX 200, South Korea’s Kospi and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng all closed down around 4 per cent.

So, what’s happening with your economy? How’s your retirement, your 401k?

If you have money, do you buy real estate now while interest rates are still unbelievably low? (Some economists predict a steady increase in interest rates for the next 13 years.) Is it better to hold onto your cash? Will you jump into the stock market?

Once again, my focus is my own micro-economy, and it’s clicking along very well. Our world is showing, again, that you must take control of your own finances, your own economy, the well being of your own home and family. Real estate ownership is a great way to do that.

In the post, Why Invest in Real Estate?, I and some of our coaching students, go into detail about why owning real estate is a strong, stable way to produce income for today and wealth for the future.

Another post, 10 Reasons to Invest in Real Estate, goes even further. In fact, there are many posts in this blog about why to invest in real estate as well as how. I specifically wrote “Investing in Real Estate 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6” giving how-to’s for getting started in this lucrative industry.

One of our students wrote: “All-in-all, real estate is one of the simplest ways to build wealth – or simply add supplemental income – without increasing hours away from home with a part-time job.  Real estate continues to work, even on holidays and weekends.” Andy could have continued that statement by adding, “and global financial meltdowns.”

Don’t panic about what’s happening in the world economy. There’s so much going on that we can’t control. But there are so many things that you can control. When you get up every morning, you can control what you do next, what you say, even how you feel. Take control, make a plan, make it happen.

No matter what you decide to do – decide. Then take action.

You’re only a victim if you choose to be. Don’t feel like it’s all too much and you can’t do anything about your circumstances. You can and there’s plenty of help out there to show you how to walk down any path.

What will you do now?
